Thank you again for joining me and so many others in praying for Pope Benedict XVI. As we continue this important novena, I want to thank you for taking the time to pray for the Holy Father.
He surely prays for us every single day with great passion and love for our destiny. He wants us to come closer to the God who is Love for eternity.
Let us be generous in our prayer for the Pope, the Church and each other.

Day 2 - Novena Prayers for Pope Benedict
Prince of Peace, we come to You today to ask for Your grace of peace for our Holy Father. There are many problems in the world and in the Church that he must address everyday. We beg You for peace in the world, peace in our hearts as we face the brokenness of a fallen world and peace for the Pope as he shepherds Your Church.

Prayer for the Pope:
Let us pray for Benedict, the Pope.
May the Lord preserve him,
give him a long life,
make him blessed upon the earth,
and not hand him over
to the power of his enemies.
May Your hand be upon Your holy servant.
And upon Your son, whom You have anointed.

Gracious and holy Father,
please give to our Pope and
to us the faithful:
intellect to understand You;
reason to discern You;
diligence to seek You;
wisdom to find You;
a spirit to know You;
a heart to meditate upon You;

a way of life pleasing to You;
patience to wait for You;
