Pray With St. Jude For Lent

Send your petition to the Shrine »Forward to a friend »
Dear Joe, Friend of St. Jude,
Today we begin the holy season of Lent as we observe Ash Wednesday, a time to "remember that we are dust, and to dust we shall return." It's not too late to send your intentions to be remembered as we pray together our St. Jude Lenten Meditations, a collection of daily reflections to be sent to you each week during Lent.
Lent is our dedicated time to prepare for the mystery of Christ’s death and Resurrection. It is our time to focus on the foundation of our life in Christ, which began with our baptism. We are called to examine how we live our commitment to our faith, to pray for grace and strength, and to reflect on changes we can make in our life that will bring us even closer to God.
We are traveling companions on this Lenten pilgrimage, encouraging and sustaining each other. Please allow me and my fellow Claretians to remember you and your special intentions during Lent this year. I invite you to send your petitions to St. Jude, along with the names of any friends or loved ones for whom we should pray.
As always, the Claretians are praying with you and for you. Please use the short reflections below as daily reminders of the path we walk together, and may God bless you throughout these 40 days.
DAY 1 — Ash Wednesday, February 13th
